About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a UI/UX Designer with passion and creativity to become an essential part of our team. This role is responsible for understanding our users and products, as well as business and technical requirements, and helping to translate this understanding into visually appealing, engaging and highly usable web experiences.
You’ll work closely with our CEO and Web Developer, including other team members as we are rapidly growing. You will be developing several company websites.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering high quality UX/UI design as a part of a multidisciplinary team
Designing, planning and conducting user research sessions with a range of audiences to help understand user needs, behaviour and motivations
Translating high-level requirements into interfaces with intuitive and functional navigation and architecture
Checking assumptions and validating designs through usability testing and rapidly iterating based upon feedback
Working collaboratively with Engineers to deliver refined aesthetics and microinteractions
Integrating UX into Agile development practices whilst working on parallel projects, handling multiple design deliverables and working with various teams across the company (Product, Engineering, Content, Marketing)
Undertaking any other activities required to support the development our products and the achievements of nimbhl’s overall goals

Essential

A strong portfolio demonstrating excellent UX/UI design skills
Experience creating wireframes, storyboards, prototypes and user flows to communicate and test design concepts
Commercial experience with user interface and interaction design and standard UCD methodologies.
Experience designing, conducting and analysing user research to determine user needs, wants and expectations
Experience incorporating findings from user research into solutions, with a focus on meeting user needs.
Strong visual design skills with the ability to deliver aesthetically pleasing and engaging designs, with an awareness of layout, color theory and typography.
Experience using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Xd, Illustrator, Photoshop) and other visual design, wireframing and prototyping tools (e.g. Sketch, Axure, InVision, Omnigraffle)
A basic understanding of web front-end technologies and what they can achieve for the purposes of design specifications and prototyping (e.g. HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
Knowledge of web technologies, accessibility and design standards
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
Keen to share opinions, question approaches and always prepared to be proven wrong by user research
Experience using usage analytics to identifying issues and review the effectiveness of solutions

Desirable

Experience using A/B or Multivariate testing
Experience optimising conversion funnels and designing usage flows to build a user base and increase usage within a B2C context
Design experience in the Education sector
Experience working with brand identity
